 For lovers of animals and plants this private nature reserve is a paradise. A variety of animals and vegetation particular to the arid conditions of Damaraland can be observed and identified. There are desert-adapted elephants, oryx, kudu, Hartmans Mountain zebra, klipspringer, warthogs, bat eared foxes and common duiker amongst many others.
There are nearly 200 bird species which have been positively identified, amongst these 10 endemics and several near-endemics such as bare-cheeked Babbler, Damara Rock-runner, Violet wood-hoopoe, Carp's black tit, Rüppel's parrot, palewinged Starling, Hartlaub's Francolin and Monteiro's hornbill. The special plant species include several Euphorbias and Commiphoras as well as Sterculias and mopane, terminalia and many flowering shrubs and grass species. Your guides will have a story to relate at every bend in the track. During the activities our guides give knowledgable and competent assistance to make your experiences memorable and meaningful.
