Single pairs of this black stork breed on rocky cliffs in arid aeas. Occasionally they fly over the lodge or roost nearby.
This female violet backed starling arrived early this year probably searching for food and better conditions. Well, she didn't find them because she hasn't been seen again. These intra-African migrants usually arrive in December and stay until April. With the very dry conditions we are experiencing this year we will probably observe some interesting changes.
